wanting to make a rap song....what program?

My buddy wants to make a little rap song maybe a couple....but we are lookin for a good program to use thats not too hard to use to create the beats. I have garage band on my iMac but we are wanting good bass and lots of treble so it would sound pretty good on a system and I dont think I could really accomplish this on garageband.

Would like to be able to speed parts of the track up and slow down parts of it. So whats a nice easy program to accomplish this with?

But serisouly...i know some of you create your own tracks and beats.

Theres a program called Acid Pro. I downloaded it but never learned to use it. You basically "layer" different tracks like you layer photo layers in photoshop to create a track.

should we make the actual song and everything in FL studio or somethin then use some kind of different program to make just the bass....then import the bass track into the song?

edit: looks like im just gonna stick to garage band because I downloaded FL studio and it looks waaaaaaaaay too complicated.
