Wanting to get new subs

I just got a PPI 2150M, and I'm not utilizing it's power with my old RF Audiophile 12, and I figure I can fit two tens in the rear deck of my Caddy. My question is, would it be better to run two two ohm subs at 2 ohm stereo 300 watts each, or run two 8 or 2 or two ohm 10's for a four ohm load with the amps rated output of 600 watt bridged? Also, is there going to be a noticible difference when I go to newer subs? I plan on running sealed enclosures.
