Thank you all for helping me with my numerous questions. I have learn tons with your help. A year ago, i didn't no jack about car audio. Now i have a system that i'm proud to say i've installed my-self.

Things i've learned the most is:

1) Make sure you know what you want first, so you don't have to change your stuff all the time ( although in my case it was fun anyway;) )

2) You cannot get the most out of your system if you're not ready to go all the way to a certain extent. This includes, decent battery, possible wire upgrade...specially the big 3 ( possibly the best thing to do first) I guess what i'm trying to say is that it will end up costing you more than you originaly planned at first. So be ready for that.

3) BE PATIENT. Take your time, make sure you have everything done right.

4) Before you ask a question search first. It's amazing how much the same questions are asked all the time.

5) Read the Stickies

Eventually i hope i will have the opportunity to help out others as much!

You guys rock!

I agree with you, I have learned a lot from the people on this forum.

/me is still figuring out what he really wants, thinking of a 15 sub.

I cannot believe the amount of information I have learned on her since August.. I definitely know more about caraudio than anyone else at my school now.. I tell my friends about RE,AA, or DD and they just look at me like im crazy.... I have one friend who is constantly telling me to get a capacitor, and I have explained to him once why I dont need one but he keeps telling me.. I reckont hey think I am the stupid one.. But KUDOS to this forum!!!!!!!!

I agree tenfold. The most knowledgeable members of the forum have explained some quite technical theories about sound and electrical. I was one of the types that thought that gain meant volume and whatnot. I would have never understood the how sounds is created and moves without this site. It is not just throw some subs in the trunk and crank the gain.

I also understand that rattle does not equal SPL and there IS MUCH TO BE SAID about cars that boom on the inside but not on the outside. SInce I am trying to find an exp to buy, I feel I can move towards this goal.

Again, I like the starter of this thread, appreciate all the help I have been given and only hope I can somewhat spread the knowledge.

digital i see that you registered in the same month i did and yes i agree with you. i didn't know much about car audio myself and since i registered at this site and others i have learned so much.

no matter how much you know... avoid getting any chip on your shoulders

stick to facts... learn as much as you can every day

and be willing to make some mistakes along the way

there's too much to learn still even for us Speaker designers/builders //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

one day you'll bridge into home audio and want to DIY an amplifier and realize just how little you know..... home audio is a humbling experience as is car audio and just stick to learning and listening....

brevity makes you far more intelligent

Hmm... you got 23 more posts than me! Time to catch up;)
I've got to catch up more than you haha, I've been registered here since 2004 and I still have few posts haha //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif.
