Wanted: JL Audio Amp and Advice
Wanted: I'm looking for a pre-owned, in great condition, JL Audio e1200 or JL Audio 250/1 amplifier. Please let me know if anyone wants to offload one.
Advice: I drive a 2000 Chevy Extended Cab truck. I've put in an Alpine Vdrive Head-Unit and Focal front speakers. I still have the rear stock speakers, which I will probably replace, in time. My current system provides extremely good clarity and vocals, which I love.
As for a sub, I recently acquired a JL Audio 10w1 sub. It handles 125 RMS, which should be sufficient for my needs. The manual tells me that JL recommends 125 RMS, yet the speaker is warrantied up to 250 (according to jl audio.com). Does anyone know how much is too-much wattage to push to this particular speaker?
Secondly, does anyone recommend either the e1200 or the 250/1 slash series amps for this speaker configuration? Interested in feedback.
