want to upgrade ps3 hard drive suggestions??

well i wanna upgrade my hard drive from 60 gb to anything larger lol.... got about 100 to play with but i have no clue what to look for in a new hard drive, and thats where you come in....

So any suggestions, with link preferablly, that you guys have?

Also if i change out the hard drive will that take away the backwards compatibility of the 60 gig??

also im looking for a headset for online play any suggestions there??

you wont lose backwards comp. thats part of the motherboard, i use my motorola h700 or s9's for a headset and they work great. as far as hard drives any 2.5" laptop with sata will work id stay at 7200rms and i preffer seagates myself.

google paradox iso loader, its been done where you just download a bluray .iso and play that but it was never publically released

external would work for just playing stored media but switching the internal hdd is the way to go.you might need a big flash drive or external to backup your gamesaves and system data.

no, you need a 2.5" drive, not a 3.5" like you posted.

^^no, swapping takes all of 5 mins tops. It takes the ps3 a lot longer to reformat the drive after you install it. It is one of the easiest things I have done. I have done 2 of them now with no issues whatsoever.
