Hello,

I'm searching now in Amazon for audio set for my Corolla 2011.

First, I looked into audio receiver and speakers bundles then I moved to speakers packages. Then, I also moved to look at separate speakers.

Best packages:

1. 2x JVC CS-DR6930 6x9" 1000 Watt 3-Way Vehicle Stereo Coaxial Speakers Bundle Combo With 2x CS-DR620 6.5" 300W 2-Way Audio Speakers $85

2. 2x Boss NX654 6.5" 400W + 2x NX694 6x9" 800W 4-Way Car Audio Coaxial Speakers $59

3. 2x JVC DR620 6.5" 2-Way 600 Watt And 2x DR6940 6x9" Inch 1100-Watt 4-Way DR-Series Audio Coaxial Upgrade Speakers

These packages are very nice and I like the Boss more than JVC, but when I was looking for Rockford I found they have very high ratings and reviews while they are low wattage.

Also the JBL has good ratings with medium wattage.

So, my question is are Rockford and JBL better than other good brands like Pioneer, Kenwood, Sony and Boss?

Regards,

I would not go with ANY of your choices at all. Those are all fake wattage numbers and those brands are known to be brick doorstops within a week or two.

Wattage doesnt = good what equals good is speaker material, construction, and design. For your purposes, either JBL or rockford would be phenomenally better than any of your choices. Once you get into the 100 dollar + range of speakers where speakers arent blatantly lying about numbers, wattage just means how much power they can handle not how loud they get nor how good they sound.

Thing about the car audio industry theres a lot of garbage brands that claim high power numbers but anything boss, pyle, jvc, power acoustik, planet audio, crunch etc... ALL are fake numbers. their claimed 5000 watts amp would translate into 200-300 real world watts on their best and luckiest day.

More than likely your stock speakers will sound better than any of these replacements. I had a corolla once too, it took A LOT of work and money just to get better than stock sound. So basically what i'm telling through experience here... just swapping out door speakers only will make your setup sound like complete @ss. Dont make the same mistake i did back then. The corolla has very peculiar acoustics and need MUCH sound treatment and good head unit EQ to get anything sounding good.

I'd say keep the stock speakers and get a good HEAD unit and your sound should massively improve. Actually stock speakers will sound miles better with proper power going to them. AKA an amp

however if you want ease of install this head unit has a built in amp already so its two in 1.

Sony MEX100BT with built in true 45x4 watts amplifier

Yes thank you for your reply.

Well, I bought before pair of 720W Kenwood rear speakers for my previous Huandai Elentra and they sounded phenomenal.

So, even if they are fake numbers, those Kenwood sounded beautiful to me.

Anyway I won't through the original speakers after installing the new ones.

Also one of the rear speakersis blown.

There are good speakers packages on amazon.

But I saw also other low watt speakers which are Rockford and JBL. And they have high ratings and when I asked in QA section they answered me that they sound very good even with their low watt rating.

I'm just now want decide between JBL or other high watt brands like Kenwood or Pioneer.

It wouldnt matter too much to be honest. As long as its not boss or jvc. Sensitivity along with woofer material and frequency response are much better specs to use compare max or peak power ratings are arbage numbers never ever at them again. They never factor into any real performance. They are used trick ignorant noobs such as yourself to buy things because you see big numbers while what you are getting is plain garbage aka your boss audio and jvc selections. If you plan on adding an amp, the number you look at is RMS ratings which is the actual power handling. Speakers dont make watts, they take watts so unless you plan to amp them, getting high rms speakers will just mean the speakers wont get that clear or good sounding due to being heavily underpowered. A lower rms speaker will work better on head unit because it doesnt need as much power to perform.

For you man id do some alpine type s 6.5s and coaxials. They will sound good on head unit power and will sound even better with amp.

If you want mediocre results then you can get whatever you want and youll be happy.

JVC makes a good low cost head unit, otherwise I wouldn't recommend anything they make. Ditto for Pioneer or Kenwood, their speakers should be OK, but they're more known for great head units.

JBL/Infinity is a good product line, Rockford makes good speakers and amps, and Alpine type R is a great line of speakers. Alpine also makes nice head units and decent amps.

You don't need big number power rating to get loud and sound good. Companies that lie about that sort of thing are generally all around unscrupulous and you can expect low quality, poor performance, dubious reliability, and little to no resale value down the road.

Yeah, with more search I discovered very good rated speakers from Pioneer and Kenwood. I deleted Boss from my cart, and now I'm thinking about Pioneer, Kenwood and JBL.

WOW, thank you very much for your reply.

I really liked the concepts //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

you shouldnt have any worries with those brands. an amplifier in the future will make them come alive though.

Can you recommend me an amp to drive 4 speakers, because I asked about this 1 ch amp but they replied to me on amazon that it's not possible to wire 4 speakers with single channel amp.
https://www.amazon.com/AR1500M-ARMOR-500-Watt-Mosfet-Amplifier/dp/B004S55ES6/ref=sr_1_1?s=car&ie=UTF8&qid=1481493271&sr=1-1&keywords=Boss+amp
you need a 4 channel amp and NEVER look at boss anything. Avoid boss, pyle, power acoustik, autotek, crunch, pyramid etc... Unless you want a fire in your car.

Even with wire kits, you should avoid those brands like the plague.

A ppi 520.4 ion would be a good bang for buck amp. Would be the cheapest i'd go in quality. This amp actually does its rated power.
