Hello everybody, I'm new to this site, though I would consider myself moderately experienced with sound. I've had 5.1 systems in my house since I first moved out on my own (9 years or so), and just recently expanded that to my car as well. Here's what I pieced together for my car.

08 Dodge Caliber

Sony GS610BT head unit

Avionixx CXA 1040 amp

Avionixx CXA 1220 amp

4x Brand X 6x9" door speakers

2x Realm by Scosche 10" subs

Never heard the brand x 6x9's. I would consider getting the 3.5's for the dash or a good 3 inch fullrange. The avionixx amps are solid. The realms are often overlooked. In a good ported box they get down. Welcome aboard

I'm on the fence about Brand X. On one hand, they sound really good, are rated REALLY well (250W RMS, 500W peak?), and (admittedly, with some shoe-horning) fit into the door slots of my Dodge Caliber with minimal modification. On the other hand, their website is nowhere to be found, and their phone number is disconnected and shows nothing when entered into Google. I happen to know a shop owner in Los Angeles that carries them, and apparently had a helping hand in their start, so at least I know somebody to get the warranty returns if needed.

I'll consider the full ranges if I ever get another car, I'm currently rocking over 200k on the odometer right now, so I'm just getting by until I get my next long-term vehicle.

Welcome dude, my previous vehicle was an 08 caliber r/t, I had Boston Acoustic 3.5s in the dash with Polk Audio 6x9s in all four doors on a factory installed Boston amp, with a pair of twelves on a sundown 1.5k amp. Fairly easy to sound good due to the hatchback.
