I currently have a system that pounds, but I want something that hits harder than what I have. I have a 2600 watt SSL running two kicker comp vr 12's and I was looking to sell my system and just start over, can anyone suggest something that i could get for the 450 that will pound hard as hell? I know that is a pretty hard request considering the budget, but at least I can get an idea. And for the record I prefer 12's and a vented box. Thank you!

Could you build your own box?
I have built my own box before, but the problem is that I am not very good at it, and I haven't gotten used to putting it together without bracing, so I used 1x1's last time for the frame, and I think it screwed up the deminsions, I have looked for a program that will show me exactly what size to cut everything and such, but no luck on finding one that I understand fully. I had considered just box like you guys stated, but I don't have enough confidence in building one, and making sure that I got the right specs and such.

Well with something this big to have one built and shipped will cost pretty much half or more of your budget... If you can build but just arent sure on design many members here can design you a box with a cut sheet of everything you would need... I have something in mind that will get very loud on a budget but the box is the thing that is holding us up...

Well do tell, I am fully listening, and if the box is the problem if I can find someone to help me out... but they are going to have to understand I am a complete beginner with box building I wouldn't mind.

whats louder for the same price as 2 dcons yo jw
If you where reading you would see he has 22 cubes to work with why yould you waste that space on a couple of small subs... Do a little planning and a budget can go a long ways but just jumping on the current forum Boner isnt gunna get you there...

You can get it done Im sure... Ok here is what I was thinking... 2 Obsidian 18's ($400), MB quart 1500 or AP 1500 (4120-130ish), Upgrade your wiring to 1/0 and maybe big 3 upgrade ($50ish), Then the rest of the budget can but box... It may be a little more then budget once the box is done but I think that will get you the loudest with the space you have...

Okay, I will start looking for the best deal on the subs, and find the amp also. I have the wiring already laying in the garage, will both of those amps be fine quality? I heard some bad things about MB quart.

Both of them are fine on a budget for a daily setup... If you can find some of this stuff used that would save you money as well... The 18's are currently out of stock but should be in by the time you get everything planned Id bet... If you have anything against that setup we can work something else out as well

Nothing against that setup, I am just unfamilier with both Obsidian and Mb Quart, or PA. I just know I was as loud as possible and didn't know that it was really that expensive, I mean I have seen people go get Pioneer Premiers for like $125, put two of them in their box and I was amazed lol So you talking about $650 was a bit of a shocker.

Trust me if this setup is done right you should be doing high 140's low 150's on music Id bet...
