I currently have a system that pounds, but I want something that hits harder than what I have. I have a 2600 watt SSL running two kicker comp vr 12's and I was looking to sell my system and just start over, can anyone suggest something that i could get for the 450 that will pound hard as hell? I know that is a pretty hard request considering the budget, but at least I can get an idea. And for the record I prefer 12's and a vented box. Thank you!

Sorry about putting it in the wrong section, I wasn't sure which one to put it in. Secondly I have a 2005 Ford Explorer with the third row seating laid down right now and my whole back is dedicated to my speakers, the electrical I think is 135 amps stock alternator.

Well if you can up your budget a bit we can get you something that will out do those Kickers no problem but 450 isnt gunna cover a lot...

Well out of curiousity how much are we talking about upping so I can propose this to my wife lol, she is already bitching about the cost of this system, I am trying to sell this one, so that I can get a little more, but I would like an idea for a serious system, I have always had bullsh*t systems and I want to step into the serious world.

^^^^ This First^^^ subwoofers are only as good as the box they are in/and made to specs gets the most you can out of any sub.Id Hit BUCK or ProRabbit up for a good sub box built to specs first

keep your current equipment, have a custom box built/designed.
Well I thought about that, but after looking into some reviews and information on Caraudio.com I have found that everyone is experiencing the same thing as me, MAJOR distortion at higher levels, and on top of that I figured starting over would provide me money to in fact get a better system instead of trying to upgrade what I have right now and then struggling coming up with it later.

Dont eat for a week, and save your lunch money!!! In a month, you could save enough to get a custom built sub box,and bring those subs to life??/sound better than they possibly are ATM...

Another couple hundred would be nice...

So if I was able to sell my system, that would give me 450, then con her out of another 200 that would probably be enough to get a killer sub or two, a box, and amp? Like I said, I know that the box is an option, but it seems a bit of a bandaid for my problem rightn ow, I would rather just get rid of the subs if they are an issue. Hella loud, but I want more.

That should be alright for a decent budget system we will just keep it lower powered so you dont have to do major electrical...

Sounds to me ...You need to try an 18 in ported sub if you want more??That should run you for a bit..You may have the proper airspace for an 18,with the box you have? Sell the 12s and grab up an 18, and later grab up a better quality PowerHouse amp!
