Want ideas for a new, multiple sub setup

This Spring, I'm probably going to change my substage. Box is going to be 1.7 cubes behind the seat of a reg cab pickup.

I want to do a multiple sub setup, such as 2-3 8's, possibly even 10's or 12's. I want the amount of space I have to be optimal for the drivers.

What I'm looking for is three 8's that are:

-underrated and can handle 500+ daily

-shallow mounting depth of 5.5" or less

-perfect for 0.5 cubes each

Example: Three RE REX8's

or two 8's, 10's or 12's that are:

-underrated and can handle ~1000 daily

-mounting depth of 5.5" or less

-perfect for 0.5-0.9 cubes each

Example: Two SA-8's

Throw me some suggestions on some nice drivers. Goal is just a loud daily ground pounder. I think 140's would be very possible, and I would be very happy bassracing 139's. If not, I was just going to spend the next year bassracing 129's with my current setup.

I'm going to have to recommend DD1508's. Up to date, the best 8 by far is the Digital Designs. There just isn't any other 8" in the market that has suspension to keep the subwoofer together except for the DD. With 8" subs, you have to remember, motor strength is not the problem although the DD motor is one of the strongest. The problem lies in the clearance of the basket and the suspension. The light moving mass and the strong durable spiders makes the DD1508 the best of it's kind up to date. The other 8's on my list would be the JL 8W7 which is costly and the Kicker L7.

I'm sure many companies are currently in R&D for the battle of the 8's. I'm sure we'll see more 8's available in the short future. And I'll be purchasing to test every single one.

Looked into it before, the 1508's want 1 cube each which I don't have the space for.

1 cube sealed for an 8 seems awfully large. Like double what it should be.

I'd rather go with 1 ported than 2 sealed. More efficiency with less power.

If I wanted one sub, I'd stick with what I have.
