wanna double check price on this box?

Local installer said it would be $900 to build a fiber glass box for the hatch of my 370Z. This seems reasonable but i wanna double check with you guys also.here is a link of what it will be like roughly:

It will fill the entire space but without the screens.Going to have three 10inch subs and my 2 amps in the hatch.

one thing I don't understand is they have to 1st build a box out of 3/4 MDF for the hatch and subs, then the fiberglass one will go over that one? It's an extra $250 for the box and I am wondering why he needs a wooden box also?

Ha! no this guy is a pretty cool guy I think he is honest I just like to research 1st and double check things. I just don't want the extra weight of the box and wanna know if 900 is fair

Exactly! You could find a local amateur fiberglass builder (look over the quality of work they do first) and get it done for far less than that...

900 is WAY to much for what he would be doing. and an MDF box with a beauty panel wont be saving you any weight

yeaaaahhh... the thing is i havent done a fiberglass box before yet. I plan on doing one for my truck in the next 2 months or so when it warms up
