Wall socket

Some one said "So let's say that it peaks at 70 ohms." Did you mean to say that

70 ohms? Thats the resistance mah friend. Subs don't very in resistance in less some are hooked up together in ways that increases the resistance. Like it would take 35 2 ohm subs hooked up in a series to get 70 ohms. And a comment on the wall socket thing it would make sense to have the sub operate well at 60hz because thats what the commen ac power frequincy is. This means that the electricity switches directions 60 times in a second. And thats what the singnal to the speaker does, it switches directions In and arranged sequince to make the right sound. So what I think actually fries the subwoofer would be the amps. Peace

I hate to call you wrong, but I will :p

Impedance changes with every diferent frequency the sub plays. It is also dependant almost entirely on the enclosure.
