only i can approach thieves, so i'm having the managers harass the thieves and follow them around to atleast keep them in the store, but customers are *****ing non-stop about stupid shit. i got here at 6 am and i'm stuck here till 11:30 tonight.
Our A/P lead one day told me and my coworker to call some dudes out on stealing, see if we could get them amped up enough to fight, without really doing anything ourselves.....

employees or managers cannot approach a thief and stop them. usually we have them follow the thief and ask them questions like how may i help you, and basically just be pesty and then the thief will hopefully drop what they are stealing and leave. i'm supposed to wait till they leave the store and stop them but i said **** that and am just stopping them in the store. what also sucks is the company won't give me money to put cameras in the parking lot so i can't even get plate numbers from the ones who got away. when 4 people are stealing at once, not much i can do but go after the one stealing the most.
apparently so. our store lacks so much in security. i got them all on video so i just gotta report them to the police and hopefully they can catch the ones who got away. not likely though
yeah my SM caught a bunch of people trying to steal shit this morning. we had 6 of the 52" tvs at my store (ours, utah, and one other state's were 699 since we're not allowed to sell below 6% of dealer cost or so i was told). they were pretty light too. and yes, ppl were fighting over items. first time i officially got paid to stand around and do nothing but watch ppl and help with carry-outs. got off work at 6:30 oddly enough. blitz was 5-11am. it was fun. and yes black friday is the best time to steal items. the holidays is the best time to steal people's identities.

that is well below our cost for psp's. our cost on those i believe are around $170
