Yeah it might be. I forget but hatchbacks usually see a 2-3 db gain over trunks, I think. Could make up for the ported box. Could also have a drop in ported box for comps too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Anyways, like I said in my original post, all of the sealed box W7 I've heard just sounded very unnatural. Just thudding, thumping bass. No smooth transients, no smooth transitions; it was either hard thumping or nothing, and no smoothness between the thudding. They were all ran with JL amps and in "proper" enclosures. And the thudding was loud enough that it just didn't blend with the rest of the system...didn't blend in with the midbass at all, there was no transition between the two.

could be "tuning factors w/those" hopefully i won't run into those issues

i have installed a couple W7/500.1 setups in the sealed JL box. (the shiny black one) pretty much the sub sounded very nice, very smooth overall, although the thudding like people are talking IS there, and i noticed this alot witth W7's and W6's. Either way it sounded great and got pretty loud off the 500/1. Getting loud shouldnt be a problem in an eclipse as u already know. Now ive never heard a 13w7 sealed, so i dont know....good luck though, w7's just arent subs i would bother with, more hassle and money than they are worth in the end.

i tuned the w7..........and it has nothing to do with tuning although im sure it gets worse at higher frequncies. its just the way the woofer sounds. i noticed the ported 12" w7 was much better.

i love them, however i can't comment too too too much on the mids b/c doors are dynomatted in the taurus - that will change in a matter of weeks w/the eclipse....

so give me about 3-4 weeks and i'll have that stuff done
