W6 VS w7 whats the deal here

I got the dub 7 at my house and i went to get it installed and the guy at tweeter said id be better off with a w6 because it sound better. Is that true which would you take if you could choose???

Generaly the W6v2 is considerd a better sounding driver then the W7. The W7 is more of an SQL to SPL driver were the W6v2 is more SQ.

I've heard both and chose to go with W6's over W7's. I personally enjoy the sound of the 6's much more, but like everyone else said, they do not get as loud.

meh they both sound teh same,. either sub is good. you dont need to get a w6 if you already have a dub7 . but what ever.

The only reason to switch, would be space and power restrictions.

they both **** IMO but that is mainly because they are way over priced.... you should stick with the W7 and never take into consideration what a sales or installation guy says over someone on this forum

how about you ask him if you can here one of each to determine what you want?

just because people like a sub doesn't mean you do. hell, i could think a wall of funky pups is the ultimate in SQ, but that doesn't mean everyone else will agree (and trust me, they wouldn't lol)

it is my opinion... that you will need recones a lot more from RE then some other companies.... if you treat the sub exactly the same....

thats also because re is a proven company and people push them to the limits..therefore blowing the woofers. thus needing recones.
