w6 needs repair

my friend has a w6 and the cone is completely ripped all te way around from the rubber, anyways, told him what to do with it but he said fudge that, he wanted me to find him aplace to send it where it oculd get reconed. do any of you guys know where i could send this thing to get reconed?

yes.. the only place that recones those.. JL.. if the surround is whats wrong thats different.. newer or older model?

is just the surround fucked? The only time you should go through jl is warranty or if you want to pay for recone.. if its just damage fix it.. take some pics..

Since I doubt it's under warranty prepare to pay alot to have it reconed. Would probably be better off buying one online.

he's screwed. I have a w6 with the same problem (surround rot). called jl...they said to buy a new one, and that the sub is a write-off.

This is why i refuse to touch JL equipment anymore. I've got a sub with a perfectly good cone, motor, basket, etc.....and they tell me that i MUST buy a new sub that costs 100's of dollars because they do not fix them. All it would take is replacing the fcking surround! fcking cu nts

JL Quoted my $350 to have a recone done on a w6-13.

You can Buy them new for that. or close to it, but not warrantied from the net.

I repaired mine with some clear silicone. Been holding good for almost a year now.
