One thing I wanted to mention about this project is the cost. So far I've only spent about $30 for the suede and 1/4" ply. I used some spare MDF I had around the garage and I also had the LEDs but that would've only added another $20($5 LEDs and $15 in MDF)

Anyway the point is, a fairly nice looking, functional setup can be made for pretty cheap. I'm actually going to remake this panel when the other amp comes. This was just to make sure I like the concept. I free handed this one but I'll make sure the final one is done as close to perfect as I can get it.

Placed an order for a 200A Excessive Amperage alternator today. Going to pick up an extra battery as well before it arrives.

Then it's time to upgrade the sub and make proper use of the DD M3C. Doubling the power on the front stage with the DD SS4A has made a nice improvement in the sound of my C5 components.

Finally going to put some of the space I have to good use. Built a new box today for a ssa 15" icon. It's not done, I need to cut the hole for the sub and add a terminal cup.

I have work tomorrow but hope to get it bumpin by Sunday. Box is 4.4 net tuned to 30.5hz.

Lol yeah, the power isn't being used, I just got tired of buying amps everytime I get new subs.

I adjust the gain to match the power the sub wants. It will never see close to the full power of the amp. Also I'll be wired at 2ohm. The specs on my box are very close to the "optimal" box plans you can download from ssa. I put their box into the program then changed it to fit my dimensions while trying to keep the tuning and dislacement similar.

You should see the look on peoples faces when I tell them I'm powering a single w6v3 with the DD m3c lol.

I'm waiting on my H/O and I need to add a couple of batteries before I really start to play with the power

One thing I did want to mention is the box has a 1" lip all the way around on the face of it. My plan is to make a removable grill using a wood frame and speaker grill cloth. I'm shooting for a press fit but I'll probably add magnets to ensure it doesn't pop off when I don't want it to.
