Volume problem

i have my input signal on my amp (boss c-1200) all the way to the max. when i turn the volume up on my radio it hit hard. when the volume is turned pass 30 the music inside the car gets louder, but the sub doesn't, it seems like i lose bass from the subs (audiobahn- aw1200n) when the radio is pass 30. Could this be my box?

are you saying you have your gain maxed out on your amp?!?!

if so you are clipping the shiznit out of it....amps will lose power when they start clipping/distorting.

set that shit right mang.

someone yesterday or day before mentioned how when they set their gains right, it was alot louder and sounded better than when their amp was clipping cuz he set his gains right...

do that before you get a new amp so you don't blow some nice *** amp you buy for more power.

i turn the gain down just a smidget and its working alright for now. I need to find a better ground cuz at times the system cuts off. also Im only using one sub to a mono amp cuz the other amp got fried i guess. If my hearing is impared (which i doubt) then there's nothin wrong with my installation, the amp is just shitty.

another problem-

this system is draining my battery and I can't start my car unless i unhook the ground. Can anybody tell me the solution to this?
