Volts supplied by the cars Alternator ?

what kind a car do you have? it is the sub amp that will really put a hurtin on your alternator, but w/800 watts i just don't see it happening. i'm running ss (sig) and my alternator smiles at them. i have a 135a stock alt and will only be upgrading because of the extra (2nd) 1600w i will be installing in june.

as i understand it, even including all your amps you would only need a 133a alt (watts/volts).

like he said, if you have around 120 amps (usually trucks will have like 135 or somthing)

i wouldnt worry about it.

do you know if you are dropping volts? what kind of wire did you use? 4 guage? 0 guage?

any pictures?

I have a SCION XB (yes the wierd box). I am upgrading the wire to 0 guage and was thinking of adding Caps to all the amps... only have one on the sub amp right now.
