Voltage output.. not making sense

when im measuring the voltage on the outputs on my eDuh 9.1 (1200w @ 1ohm) I am getting numbers that seem to high. 28.28V = 800w using the formula.. to get that number I only have to have my gains about 1/3 the way up.. I would think it would be more like 2/3?

am I not understanding my gains? or am I doing something wrong.

(using a testtone at 50hz 0db)

That's a good thing. You should never be concerned about getting full power @ a lower gain setting //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

ok thanks, I did my fronts and worked it out to 2.4 volts on a 1khz test tone, which is like 94w or something.. than I played a song and its reallly quiet and the highest the song gets is 0.8 volts.

And when I use my speaker wire input rather than RCA's I get a much louder connection.

I have a pioneer amp that does 125wx2 at 4ohm and there running to some lowerend cdts (cl-53)

My sub I have the 9.1 (at 1ohm) powering my Rl-p 12 (d2) in a 1.25cu. ft sealed box.

****, I tried working this "Voltage = sqrt(Watts X 4 ohms)" from memory.. and when I was finding my desired wattage (80w to test) I did it back wards.. I should of divided by 4 not multiplied..

thanks for making me re-read what I wrote lol.

edit,

Watts = Volts^2/ohms

ya that looks right.
