voice coils

Well if ya guys want to get all technical, assuming money wouldnt be an issue.

A silicon treated titanium alloy transformer with a ruthenium tetroxide coating on an AR900 grade silver flatwound coil would be the most efficient, or at least the most effective I could think of.

High conductivity is just 1 element of a voice coil. With a melting point lower than ever copper, it wouldn't take much.
Actually its melting point is about 300 degrees hotter than aluminum, but only about 100 degrees lower than copper (Celsius). However as you said, silver has the highest electrical conductivity of all metals. But you did not take into account that Silver has a better thermal conductivity than both. Diamond actually has the best thermal conductivity, but since it has very poor conductivity it would not make a good VC.

Wanna buy my diamond coated Platinum coil? Sell it real cheap...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
