voice coil wiring help

from what i was told its ok to run at 1 ohm if and only if the amp is capable of handling 1 ohm and if that 1ohm load produces around (within a couple hundred + or -) of the sub's rms rating.

 
If the amp can be dropped to one ohm wire it in paralell, going positive to positive, negative to negative on the sub, if not your going to have to go at 4 ohms, which youll still be getting 500 rms out of the amp, wire it in series, so just hook up one Pos and one Neg. to the amp off of different coils and then hook the remaining pos and neg on the sub together.
