Visonik or JL Audio?? NEED HELP....!!

I need a 1000+ watt amp to power my 2 12" Alpine Type-R's and I've settled on either a JL 1000/1 or the Visonik V900xd. Obviously JL's reputation speaks for itself in terms of power and quality, but how is Visonik? I plan to wire the subs to a 1-ohm load, then the amp should put out around 1500watts RMS (@ 14.4V) and 1800 max. Thing is, will my car actually do 14.4V all the time? The JL delivers 1000 from like 10V+. If the power to the Visonik drops below 14.4, is the power it delivers going to take a nosedive, too? Anyone with experience with Visonik amps plz help. and one more thing...when using caps, do you go by 1 farad for every 500 watts or 1 farad for every 1000 watts? I know you can't have enough but I don't want to spend more than I have to. Thanks.

visionik = cheap, reliable power, personally don't like the cosmetics and the lack of features but can't argue with the pure economics...

y do need such a big amp for those? their 300 rms each=600 rms....if u want to leave headroom for further future upgrades id say get the jl.....plus its a a+ amp....

so what would do better in terms of power and quality? I'd say JL no problem, but i can get the vsionik V900XD, which is 1500 watts into 1 ohm, for about 450 compared to around 600 of the JL. what would do less damage to my alternator? I'd rather not have to replace that in the not to distant future...

where are u getting a 1000/1 jl for 600....people would prolly be thankful for the link although i would prolly never run JL. great quality....but i hate giving money to mainstream companies. other than fosgate that is. check the tsunami 1100 on ebay. also check the hifonics bx1500....will put out a tru 1500 watts at 1 ohm.......not that u need it.

If I were on a budget I'd go with the 900xd....... Heck if I had to pay retail for the 1000/1, I'd get two 900xd's...
