I plan to wire the subs to a 1-ohm load, then the amp should put out around 1500watts RMS (@ 14.4V) and 1800 max. Thing is, will my car actually do 14.4V all the time? The JL delivers 1000 from like 10V+. If the power to the Visonik drops below 14.4, is the power it delivers going to take a nosedive, too? Anyone with experience with Visonik amps plz help. and one more thing...when using caps, do you go by 1 farad for every 500 watts or 1 farad for every 1000 watts? I know you can't have enough but I don't want to spend more than I have to. Thanks.
I need a 1000+ watt amp to power my 2 12" Alpine Type-R's and I've settled on either a JL 1000/1 or the Visonik V900xd. Obviously JL's reputation speaks for itself in terms of power and quality, but how is Visonik? Thanks.
