viper's dual power supply

Will my viper amp, 2500.1, work temporarily if I only hook up one power supply and one ground??

I have zero gauge run but i dont have a distro yet, but i wanna listen till my distro comes in...

Theres two power supply/grounds for a reason. Wait on the distro block.

Better to wait. I once saw a Rockford amp with dual 8-gauge power and ground connections, and it had been connected with 2-gauge wire trimmed down to fit only one of the inputs. It completely melted the plastic around the power terminals.

what is the purpose of dual power supplies? i heard some people don't like it...why not?
