viper. because it is solid and will produce rated power where as hifonics just sucks all the way around.

viper because refurb really doesnt mean much since it was inspected, rebuilt and tested by the actual company and its just like new or better. Also hifonics is overated and is really shitty in general. The viper would be more reliable and alot cleaner source of power.

im basically lookin for around 1200wrms and thought the Hifonics could at least put out that..also its alittle cheaper...i had BX1000D and it ran my subs quite nicely //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/moon.gif.9d317aec3339ffe7fde0638df52c628a.gif........but if the Viper will put out cleaner power then i guess i should buy it.

Im pretty sure the Hifonics will put out atleast 1200rms. Go ahead and get the Hifonics if you want but you probably won't get more than 1200rms from it.

well since the hifonics will put out the 1200w i want, would it be a better choice. I voted Hifonics....

Why, because I currently own more than (8) of them and have owned a bunch more over the years...

I have them in my Blazer and I pound it like crazy....

I have never metered mine, but they have always seemed to produce what they are supposed too...

I sold one to one of my friends and put it in his Blazer, powering 3 JL 12W6s...

Then, Friday, we drove from St. Louis all the way to KC and pounded the whole way there, then this after nooon, we drove back home, again pounding all the way... It never shut off or started clipping...

I guess you take your chances either way... You have to decide for yourself...

viper hands down, new hifonics amps arent the greatest thing in the world never seen one produce anywhere near rated power...

and ignore everyone that says you will get 1200w out of the hifonics, especially the brutus series, youll be lucky if you see 900
