viper 791xv remote issue

So my bud just received his viper 791xv but there's a problem. There's no program button on the back of his remote. Is that right? I'm pretty sure every rsx 3.5/881xp/791xv has to have a button on the back to program.

Older versions did not have that button. Press all 4 buttons on the front at the same time to program.

Nothing. I was just going thru his box and I've never seen the remote without the program button.

so everything is fine, he just got an old one....quite old now.
