well i just installed my 791 everything works, still have to hook up the trunk input(tells when trunk is open) i just first have to go to the junk yard and figure out where the trunk light is kuz it is buried beneath 3 layers of dynamat/peel'n'seel. only issue is the second remote wont program. he followed the instructions and couldnt get it i will try tomorrow afternoon. any suggestions?

make sure the door trigger wire (green or purple depending on car) is seeing ground (green) or positive (purple). Basically make sure the alarm sees that a door is open. Turn the ignition on and then try to program the remote. Do you know the model # of the remote? Make sure it is compatable with the 791.

ok i will check on that. but yeah it is the right remote i got the exact same 2 way remote that comes with the alarm and it is compatable i forget the actual model number

Nothing much that hasn't been covered. Does the system go feature programming mode, or valet mode using the valet switch?

If it just won't program the remote, then there may be a problem with the new remote itself. If it won't go into any programming mode, then you may have a problem with your ignition wire connection, which would mean the unit can't recognize when the key is being turned.

nevermind i figured it out. i had to startt he car to get it to prgoram he was just going to the click just before that. thanks for the suggestions and help. i will give him crap over it now.

Usually when you shop for a replacement harness for your model, you will find the pictures may show you in what pins your wires go to.
