Viper 5900 or VisionGuard 8000

Anyone have or heard of these 2 alarms? I'm in the market for new alarms and i narrowed it down to these 2. If you have another brand/model, please feel free to add on.

I'm leaning over the VisionGuard 8000 a bit more since it has a night camera that it could take snapshot and send it to the remote. But i don't know how good it will be since none of my friends or people i know have it.

dont buy the visiongaurd it is probly crap. get the viper, because it is dei who is the best in alarms and remote starts. you dont need a camera on the alarm.

OK, but have you install or use the Viper yourself? Is there another Viper product that is better than the 5900?

yes i have and do install dei products, viper is dei's top of the line, altho all of them are the same in the company. i currently have the 791 in my car, thinking about getting the 5900 but probly not till i get a new truck next spring. the 5900 is the best they have, it is 1 mile range 791 is 1/4 mile range. they do have the 7900 which has the color screen but that is stupid in my mind.

Not to hijack, but i bought the 791 with the 1/4 mile range and im curious how good it works through buildings? In my complex there is one building that would be in the way when i am at home, just curious if it will still work well with it? Im pretty sure im only about 2-300 feet from my car. Thanks.

well you gotta try it out. sometimes i cant get jack shit for range then sometimes the range is ridiculous.
