ive got a viper 1200.1 and i was just

wondering how far up you have your

input sensitivity...

i know i should be using the JL gain

setting tutorial and checking voltages

but the problem with that is that i

cannot disconnect my interiors... so

when i blast that 50hz tone it sounds

like its just KILLING my speakers...

right now ive got it so the slot that

you can turn is straight up and

down... about 12 if it were a clock

face...

if the minimum you can turn it down

is about 7 on a clock face... the highest

would be around 5... but where does

it start clipping???

id like to push it to its limits as i now

have a sub that can take some power...

ehhh ima confused... you cant disconnect your interiors, wat that mean?

buy my advice would be, turn the gain all te way down, put the hu up to the desireable volume level, and start increaseing the gain until you hear distortion/clipping. once you hear the noise, turn the gains down a little so you cant hear it anymore. I guess thats all you can do if you cant do the tutorial. Thats wat i haveta say could be wrong, could be right.

theres content in that link??? i just get

empty squares...

generally on an amp could you say turn

the gain up to ~3 oclock or would that

be too much???

how do you like your ported XXX???

how much power are you pushing it...

oh sorry guess the link didn't work, goto http://www.woofervids.com and goto the adire section, it has the description of the clipping vid. won't know till this weekend having my box built, i'll be pushing around 1500-1600 watts into it, i'll let ya now when i have it all done, what i do is turn your HU all the way up to the volume u think the loudest u will be listening to, after that slow turn up the gains on your amp till you here kinda like a scratching noise or if you hear your sub whining... then set it back a tad
