Video wont play?

Hello everyone..

I recently got a dvd deck put in ( clarion MAX385VD) When I go to play DVDs the screen pops up saying that only the audio will play until the parking break is put on. The strange thing is that my parking brake is on. I did not install the deck myself, got the store to do that. Also, they left a green wire hanging out of my dash and said it was for a video switch, I tried stripping back the end of the wire and wraping it around the prongs but nothing happends..What is this for??

Seriously? ****. Any idea what exactly the green cord does?

what they should have done was make a ground wire, then take the parking brake wire from the headunit and put them on a switch. that would have accomplished what they wanted to do. The best thing would have been to just ground the parking brake wire and be done.

ground the green wire? That usually works

is grounding the green wire something I can do easily by myself?

Grounding it does not work like it did with older decks you have to hook up a switch to bypass the option.

Grounding does work even with newer radios I think it is Manufacturer specific. i have a Clarion and it has to be hooked to a switch its easy! and BTW the shop screwed you over take it back
