i read up on it a little and didnt understand it. why are you gonna be a dick and flame me when all im tryin to do is post a video to show off my first build which i worked my *** off for 3 days straight from morning to dark. you think you are cool by going around and flaming people just because they dont know every ****in little thing about car audio? **** you dude.

Gain setting is VERY simple and one of the first things that should be learned in car audio...not to mention it keeps you from burning equipment, also a plus. You don't want to get flamed? Then don't put up "I'm not getting full power because gain is only at 3/4."

Also, the filter fucking owns you.

it might not be and you might be lucky but setting the gain to 3/4 isn't saying your amp is only 3/4 the way up..
if your h/u output voltage is lower you might not be clipping just putting out more power than you are planning for

Unless he's using an old 1V head unit, or has his volume below 1/2 with a modern unit, there's no way he's NOT clipping the signal. its 38-39 roughly. may be lower. measuring the ports was hard for me because i have to make them with a 90 degree angle.

1) Total guess doesn't mean a thing. Just because it's not exactly 3/4 doesn't mean that you didn't set it at around 3/4.

2) I work all day without computer access.

3) I'm engaged...trumps your whole hypothesis, does it not?

4) Get the sand out of your ******.

and im pretty sure 3/4 of the way isnt clipping the amp. 2.1 volts on the input sensitivity and the gain goes from 200mv to 6v. the pre amp voltage on my headunit is 4 volts.

set your gain on your amp at 4v thats what i do......

set your gain at what ever your headunit or crossovers output voltage is at is at

or do it by ear because most amps have no voltage notches around the meter....u can do it just listen for the sound to change up..... if your Hu goes to 60vol set it at 30 or 35....nah better yet....do it the ghetto way like me..... bypass the subs and jack the vol up till you hear slight distortion on you highs and back off of the nob a it a bit

then bypass the highs amp and turn the subs up till you hear distortion on em and back off the gain till its clean sounding and bring to highs back up....its that simple and ive never cooked any subs......

(remember to try not to go above the max HU vol you setup at)
