yes it is a reconed apx18, and I heard this thing in person, it is a very good, sub, although it could definitely use an atomic recone to get some better sq out of it. my guess from hearing it in person, it sounds like tinsel slap to me. My guess is that it wouldn't handle a 30kw burp with the current VC that has been retrofitted, but it is still a beast!

I hope your treating my Kenwood nicely, that amp was my baby, bought it new in '05 for a hefty price, but it has served me well, for many systems and years.
