Okay, I have been to auto shops, car audio specialists, blogs, google, and I am still confused on this situation. Tomorrow I am adding 2,000 more watts to my car sound system and I am fairly sure that I am going to need to upgrade the power. I have 1/0 gauge running to my amps already, I have done the Big 3, so do I still need a battery or new alternator? I drive a 2004 Chrysler Sebring LX 2.7L v6 Sedan.
If I go with a battery, should I get a new one, or another one? I was thinking about getting a Stinger battery but I don't want to spend $400 for one lol. Than I was going to get an Optima Yellowtop to run as a dual battery dedicated to my sound system, but would my alternator strain from two batteries? I'm confused.
