no, it really doesnt, 36-40 is the recommended tuning for AQ subs

why would they want something tuned that high. the loss of low end would be too much IMO...

from everything i have heard these still do great on the low-end despite the tuning

I had my single 12 tuned to like ~38hz and its low end was crazzzzy!

Sounds like a good plan. I had a lot of success with my DD 15's on 4 2200's. You may not enough enough room for 4 in that blazer.

I tuned my box to 36hz and it has excellent output in the 30hz range. 40 hz is recomended for all of there drivers and they work very well in the rec box. No loss of output on the lows.
