Vibrations mess^ amp?

i heard from a friend that if the amp is close to the subs and vibrates, it can mess it up. is this true?

If it's a poorly-built amp...solid state electronics generally shouldn't have problems with most vibration.

good because i am goin to mount my amp on top of my box. i still think ill pad it a little tho

as long as the box isnt flexing a hell of alot, and you have proper reinforcement - you will be fine.

if you are that nervous, get some 1x1 wood, carpet it to match your box, use it to space the amp off of the box (maybe some thinner stuff if you can find it)

I usually mount my amps behind my boxes, never had any problems
