well just the other day i installed a second amp for my front speakers....ran 4ga wire through the same firewall hole as my sub's amp...wired the rca's to the front rca jack on the hu....spliced a remote wire to the same remote wire that ran to my sub amp....and ran a separate ground.......well i was gettin sound out but after turning the volume up pretty loud the speaker would go out.....and after messing with the gains my right speaker popped (but didnt blow), really loud.....so i unhoooked the speaker wire and rca's from that amp......
coming home from work the next day i had everything that normally worked on, and all of the sudden loud noises started coming out of my amp (well subs) and so i unhooked both of the fuses from up under the hood.....i tried many differnet things to get my sub's amp to work but it would just start making horrible noises whenever the radio was cut on....but i'm starting to think that maybe it's the amp...cuz i've got it wired at 1ohm on the 2ohms stable amp....and i've blown amps in the past on this setup.
