Very Budget System for a Friend

I'm trying to help a friend put in a system for under $300 and this is what I think we got.

I get get these 2 for the prices listed

2 Brand NEW 2005 Kicker Comp 12" 300 Watts per sub for $75 for the pair.

Kenwood KDC-7252 1000W 2Ch, $129

Boss C-700 1200W 2 Ch, $79

Punch P3001 900W 1 Ch, NEW $145,

And I'll be giving him my old pioneer coaxils for free.

Basically we need a good HU under ~$100, what do yall recommend? Also which amp out of the ones listed should we go with?

go with the Kenwood under your amp choices... Look at a JVC or a Pioneer from http://www.cardomain.com for a nice/cheap deck.

I'm assuming just the Comp because of the 300 watts per sub.

I doubt these days he's going to find new, old model comp vr's, and.... he also said they are 05's ~READ THE THREAD~. What more, is that he didn't even say that it was a comp VR. Do we have to start saying "It's a 12" kicker comp, but not a 12" kicker comp vr" everytime we mention it these days?

Anyone else have input?

I'm also looking for a HU that we can hook his ipod up through the AUX. Is that standard on most HU's because I didn't see anything in some of the specs.

I don't need ipod ready, just AUX inputs.

kenwood... i put the same amp in my brothers friends truck, its a pretty nice amp.

kenwoods tend to heat up (with my experiences).....

the newer rockfords are underrated (hince the 300w rms rating and 900w max rating, ironicly though it will max out close to those numbers readily)....go with the rockford, better amp then the kenwood and BY FAR better than the boss

as for decks look for any clarion, older alpine, older eclipse, or older pioneers...... best bet are those....kenwood decks arent too bad either
