vent tuning help

ok i have a 10 cubic foot box, the vent length is 20 inches, 40 inches wide, with a 2 inch opening, i need to know what it is tuned to, can anyone help?

if what you said is 100% true and your sub displacement were 0 then it would be around 30-31 hz. It will probably be more like 32hz when you mount your subs.

yea thats the dimensions, so its going to be a little low for my subs then.

Is the 10ft^3 before or after port displacement?

Oh, and your port is way too skinny. I'd recommend building a new box.

So it's tuned right around 28hz before you put the subs in, which would still leave you at 29-30hz after sub displacement, which is too low for those DD's. I'd scrap the box myself. It's too big and tuned too low, and the port is entirely too skinny. Shoot for 8.5ft^3 tuned to 35-38hz, depending on your tastes, and keep the port opening ratio lower than 1:8.
