Couldn't tell you how many CTS pots I have put in my guitars over the years. I have my '95 MIJ Jackson Dinky behind me that I put CTS pots in as well. Much better and smoother control than the factory pots. I had some pots a while back that clicked when rotated but forgot the name of them. They may work for Rob as well.
