usx 2100 protection light

i need help i just wired my JL 8w3v2 sub to a us acoustic usx 2100 and i get no sound out of it... the amp lights up everything is wired correctly... but a red protection light keeps turning on... what am i supposed to do?

If you are absolutely certain that everything is wired correctly then I would suggest the protection light coming on is indicative of something wrong internally with the amp.

Try another amp if you can to see if in the same install it yields the same results. If it doesn't (if the second amp operates correctly with nothing else having changed but which amp is hooked up) then I'd say it is time for either amplifier repair or replacement.
