Using stock wires for Coax's

Stock wiring has about 8 thicker strands which is more resistant than a good aftermarket wire. Just don't use to big of an amp with the stock wire or they can get hot and actually burn

Reason I ask is that I have a new company car every two years and investing a a large amount of time and money is not always worth it. I used stock wiring for comps in the doors with crossovers well secured inside the door panel. I had zero issues even though I know that this is not how you are supposed to do it. This time I just went with some ID Coax's with no crossover and I do not listen to it that loud for very long. I have amp power to spare so any voltage loss is no big deal.

But you said that stock wiring is better because of thicker strands or some shit. Who told you that?... Its not to say that you can't use it, but it is not better. Then the shit about burning up the wire. ...............LOL. I haven't been around long, but I never burned up speaker wire powering some highs. And If it was possible, you'd think that STOCK wire would more than likely be first to do that.

It wasn't him that said that.

Just clearing that up. lol

Should sound pretty good with the ID CTX65's run by an Alpine PDX 150.2 a TC sounds OEM in a .7 sealed box run by the PDX 600.1. I will spend most of my time getting the doors ready with dynamat and mdf rings with some non hardening clay.
