Using LPF on Headunit vs Amp

Hey guys, I was wondering since my Eclipse AVN726E headunit has a LPF on/off setting should I turn it on if my sub amp is already set to 80hz? Or if I turn it on from the headunit should I turn the lpf setting on the amp all the way up? Im asking because Im pretty sure you choose one and don't use both. Thanks in advance

Yes that is correct - Do not use both of them at the same time... I'd turn it all the way up or off at the amp and use the one in your HU - Then you can adjust the frequency from the driver's seat //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Problem is my headunit only has on/off and doesn't include the frequency settings

**** well that *****... I looked online at the manual and it doesn't show an adjustment there either... Just on or off... Well in that case I'd probably just set it where you want it on your amp & leave the HU lpf off then...
