using coaxials as back speakers

Only way to know if it is going to sound good is to install them and hear them for yourself.

Listen to your setup with and without them...see which you like better.

Some folks like rear fill, some despise it. Your setup, your ears, your decision.

Personally, I like rear fill. But, like I said, try both ways and see which you like best!

Fade to front until they're still playing enough to add to things but you can't tell from the driver's seat what they're playing or where it's coming from. Also don't worry about throwing as much power at them as you do your fronts. I run rear coaxials off the head unit and have it faded so I get the overall extra loudness and 'ambiance' but the instruments and vocals are still solidly in front of me.
