Using a DMM

To measure impedance rise, you really need to have a true RMS clamp meter as well as a DMM, so you can see instantly what happens to the current as well as voltage. All a DMM can accurately tell you is the driver's DCR, which changes as the cone moves up and down...

 
yeah, it'll work fine.

probably will get a reading that jumps around a bit, though.

if you're just checking that you wired everything correctly, just make sure it gives a reading within a couple tenths.

 
Alright i went out to check my amps ohms and i got some strange numbers. I have 2 Viper 1200's strapped, the one that is in slave read about .5 and the amp in master read 1.3. Is this right or did i do something wrong. I believe i am supposed to have a 2 ohm load
