use cap or not???

I am putting 1000w orion amp in my mustang (05') and have a new power acoustik cap new in box. Half the ppl say it is a waste of time to put it in, the other say you have it, it will help a little to put it in. If it is pointless I wont waste me time wiring it, if it will hwlp a little, I might as well throw it in...What are your opinions???

Also, if I do put it in, the directions are horrible. I think I understand that I run the 4awg back from the battery into a distribution box in my truck and then run one 4g to the cap and one to the amp. Then I just run a seperate ground wire from the cap to the metal floorboard somewhere, but not to the same point as the amp ground. There si no remote wire on this particular cap...does that sound right????thanks

it's pointless. don't do it. there is tons of info on this forum about caps

You don't need a capacitor.
