Sold USD waveguides

well the truth as I know it about the horns is that they are the "end all be all" as far as time alignment goes, the down side is that you have to eq them to get them to sound good (when I say that I mean take some of the harshness out of them) I have found that most people don't really know how to tune, therefore they don't get the full potential out of the horns. I had these installed in my 03 silverado and used the Par-EQ in my Eclipse head unit and it did a pretty nice job of taming them down. the other part to the equation is that the horn bodies are the same as the higher end units, the drivers on these are the lower end. Basically you can get into using horns for a reasonable price and change the compression driver as needed to suit your taste. I will say this for them, they get loud with just a little power.

Sound quality pretty good? Would you compare them to a good set of comps without midbass? Or do they just do the higher frequencies better? I have zero experence with horns, but I here they are loud as hell and sound wonderful if EQ correctly.

These do the higher freq. but you can get some high end drivers for the bodies that will run down to 800hz. They sound pretty sweet if they are EQed, if you just hook them up and run them they are on the harsh side. and they will go loud a hell, 75w to these will make the people in the Fairhope beg you to turn them down.

I see you are in Mobile, I used to live there, I went to McGill and Faith Academy back in the 90's

Hey there Nashville. I am in Chattanooga. I've been interested in picking up some USD's for my Benz and these are pretty appealing. I have about shoved all the cash I am going to shove into car audio at this point, but if you are looking for any specific trades shoot me a pm.
