great game overall but with the wasted timeout and horrible choice by matt on the last play usc ended the game like crap.

all he had to do was run for the first spike the ball and try the field goal. might not have been enough time but better than throwing to a guy 20 yards away from the endzone covered by 2 guys and goin outta bounds.

instant classic though

Yea they blew it big time, then choked on it. Vince > SC defense. They couldn't stop his run worth shit.

There were so many mistakes by SC in that one....

1: Reggie Bush's ill-advised lateral attempt

2: Leinarts pick down near the goal line

3: Officals blowing the call when V. Youngs knee was clearly down and giving them the TD

4: SC's total inability to do anything about V. Young who went buck-wild on them- he had like 30 of 40 passing and 200yds rushing w/ no sacks or picks. And I though Reggie Bush was the human video game! If V Young comes back for another year of college he is an idiot- his stock will never be higher than the performance he gave today.

I expected USC to win this game, and they should have but stupid uncharacteristic mistakes and 2 blown 4th and short attempts (especially the last one) cost them a third national championship. I think if this game was played 10 times USC would win 7, but they play it once and USC got beat. Props to Texas- this was the first time I had seen them play this year, and they are pretty unimpressive, except for that freak at quarterback- he carried that team, and the defense came up huge on a couple of plays for the win.
