USB control through headunit

It has a USB input and i was thinking of putting either a flash drive or a small external hard drive on it. My question is, if you have a flash drive etc. plugged in, will you be able to control it through the headunit. Meaning, you can skip files, or track, browse thorugh folders etc. I couldnt really find any answers. Thanks

and yes you can control it throught the head unit....i connected my 2 gig flash drive to it with music and it was perfect

So I have to keep the head unit cost down, and if i buy from crutchfield, i get the adapter for half off. But thanks for the info, glad to hear it works well
