I was just wondering if anyone is running an MD2 @ 2 ohms. What power are you running it at? What's the max RMS that can be ran @ 2 ohms?
set meaning you put 1200 into the formula to set the gains? what's the lowest you think you could set at 1 ohm (meaning how many watts would you get with gains all the way down)?I run mine @ 1 ohm set to about 1200 watts
Yea, I used a DMM, you could porbally set it all the way down to like 0-100 watts //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gifset meaning you put 1200 into the formula to set the gains? what's the lowest you think you could set at 1 ohm (meaning how many watts would you get with gains all the way down)?
lol I haven't worked with higher power amps before so I thought if it was rated at 1500 at 1 ohm, having the gains all the way down would still give you a significant amount of powerYea, I used a DMM, you could porbally set it all the way down to like 0-100 watts //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
they're bridged internally, still a mono amp. they do it like that so it would be easier to connect more than one sub, but don't think of it as a 2 ch ampI saw in the picture of the amp that there are two channels. I read that the 2 channels are wired in parallel. Does that mean if I wire each of my 2ohm DVC subs to 4 ohms, that I can just hook up both to the amp as if it was a 2 channel amp and that the amp will take care of bringing the load down to 2ohms automatically? If you guys need a picture of what I am talking about, just say so... lol
Yes its a one channel amp in effect so it will cut them down to series ohms internallyJust wanted to make sure that we're on the same page... there's my little drawing... lol
